Your birthday stays in your browser

The calculator runs on your device. You do not need an account, and we do not store your birthday to show your result.

Calculator data

The date you pick is used in your browser to show your month symbols, Western zodiac sign and, if you add a supported year, your Chinese zodiac sign.

We do not send your birthday to our servers, create an account for it, or store your results.

Share links

A result link includes the values you picked, after the # in the address. Your browser does not normally send that part to our server.

That part of the link is not secret. Anyone who gets the link can see the values and open the result, and browser extensions may be able to read it too. Check the sharing mode before you send a link, especially if it includes a year.

Result images are made and downloaded in your browser. If you share a file or use your device's share feature, it goes to the app or service you choose, under its own privacy practices.

Cookies and analytics

We do not run analytics and do not set cookies for advertising, profiles or tracking.

Your browser may save copies of site files so pages load faster. This is not used to build a profile of you.

Hosting and fonts

Our hosting provider may process basic request and security data, such as your IP address, browser details, the page requested and the time, to deliver and protect the site. It never receives your birthday.

Fonts are loaded from a font provider, which may receive basic connection details such as your IP address and browser. It does not receive your birthday.

Your choices

  • Browse the guides without entering a birthday.
  • Choose symbols-only sharing if you do not want to include a year.
  • Do not share a full-profile link if you want its details kept private.
  • Remove everything after the # before you bookmark the page or pass it on.

Questions and changes
